Hwamyeong is currently under heavy construction now. There is an entrance and exit ramp being built for the bridge spanning the adjacent river. The ramps are directly infront of Centre View and Centre View Encore apartment buildings, the same buildings that house all foreign teachers that work in Hwamyeong.
Its a nightmare. Impossible to sleep as jackhammers, and drills and smashing steel disturb this once peacefull neighborhood. From sun up to 12am or 1am there is constant drilling, hammering, slamming, beeping, dumping, heavy machine work.
I'm going to be joining my girlfriend in Changwon in a couple weeks. She is teaching there. I don't have a teaching visa so I must find other work (or must I?) Basically, is there any advice out there for a guy like me? I don't mind working in a restaurant or hotel... but, currently, my Korean isn't so great.
I was just offered a 3 month position at a hagwon. It's a newer hagwon, so he is willing to work with me for a shorter period of time. (I need a position for 3 months or less).
Will a C4 Visa be sufficient for this situation? He said he will pay for my Visa run.
Also, he wants me to draw up a contract. Are there any resources for finding contracts?
Hi my girlfriend was offered a job in busan. They told her that when she got here they would send her to japan to get a visa. Now that she has been here for a week working they are telling her she needs to go back to Canada in order to get E2 visa. I think this is a scam to get rid of her but i am not sure. please help.
Does anyone know if Immigration requires a new criminal background check for teachers changing to new jobs? I submitted my background check last year for my current job, but if I change jobs will they require another one?
If anyone has submitted a check for a job, and then changed jobs, please let me know what your experience was.
