I have an MS in biology and have taught entry level college biology classes in the US. I've been told by a couple people in Korea that I may be able to obtain a university position teaching biology here. To those of you that have been here for awhile or work at universities, do you think this is possible/probable, or do you have any advice on the subject? Thanks for your help.
i was fired a month ago and today being my last
day. i received this letter from a recruitor. 'C' her partner(K) is
another recruitor. He also didnt pay me for last month. He paid me
193,000won a month and 'T' paid 2.1mill. So strange eh? I
placed the details in bold.
I worked there for five months and they say they
will withhold my whole months pay not to omention 200,000won from last
month.
I was fired a month ago and my last day of employment is tomorrow any one know what happens to my E2 visa?
Nobody told me if it's cancelled or would tell me. I read something that they have to cancel it to find a new teacher.
Anybody know how much they charge you daily if you overstay?
I heard 10,000 a day. Not sure but if they canceled it i could end up overstaying it 30 days. Figured a trip to Japan would cost almost as much. so even if they tell me not to come backto korea no problem.

What is with the recruiters these days? They keep emailing me and posting the worst jobs. Recruiters, people with F2 visas do not work for 20 an hour or jobs that are 330 to 1030, monday to friday for 2.3mil. Especially TOEFL classes. Are you kidding me?
There is a part time job on here now saying the school offeres 15 000WON per class. Are you kidding me. The guy going on vacation is obviously trying to scam people and keep some of his pay for himself. Really? 15 000? I dont think so. I post this for those who do not know any better and think it is an okay job. You should be getting paid at least 30 per class. If you get caught teaching illegally you pay a fine-like 2mil and get deported. Is that worth making 100bucks (after the excahnge)? Dont take the job. Let that guy pay the price for being so cheap!

How much should I pay for a private tutor on once or twice a week in two or three hours?
The lessons would be just free talking for any topics in a small group(less 5) of adults(moms, actually).
