KJC

Hi all -  I wonder if you can help me.  I have my first interview for a KJC a franchised chain near down town Busan: PNUE (Pusan National University of Education) subway stop, between the Yeonsan and Dongnae subway.

Does anyone know the area or school and can possibly provide me with a realsitc picture of what it would be like to live and work in that area?

I'm also using RBI recruitent agency - if anyone has had any experience of them, please let me know your thoughts.

Many thanks

Visa Requirements for English Teachers and Cambodians

Hi,

I worked in Busan several years ago and at the time had to take a trip over to Japan to get a working Visa. Can anyone tell me what documents I need now to work in Busan? I would also like to know what the visa requirements are for Cambodians as I plan to travel with my daughter who was born in Cambodia and my Cambodian wife. Any info would be very much appreciated. Thank You in advance..

Hi everyone,

Question about Criminal Background / Health Checks

I haven't had to look for a job in five years, but alas, it looks like my time at my current position is up. My visa doesn't expire until the end of February--does this mean that I don't need to submit a new CBC and health check as long as I take a position at a new school before that ends? Or do I need to get that paperwork done over again?

I'm a bit of a dummy when it comes to immigration stuff. Thanks to anyone who can help me out here.

Finishing Contract - Afraid of being ripped off.

Hey everyone.

Like so many other people have experienced similar situations with their hagwons, I am in a position where I feel I am going to be taken advantage of, and unfortunately, lose some of the money I am entitled to.

The hagwon I work for isn't terrible, but there are certainly some negative aspects. In the past year I've worked here, there have been numerous instances (which I won't mention in aim of making this message shorter) where they have taken advantage of foreign teachers.
