Hi,
I am In the process of extending my E2 Visa but was asked to provide a criminal background check. I am from Canada so I was wondering how do I get the background check if I'm in Korea?
I'm looking for advice on pursuing an internship at a Korean University in the summer of 2012. I am currently working on a Master's Degree in College Student Affairs Administration (put simply, advising services for college students such as admissions, student activities, study abroad, housing, etc.).
I'm not sure where to start. Is there anyone on Koreabridge who might have some suggestions on who to contact?
I am a native English speaker.
I have a Bachelor's Degree and am working on a Master's Degree.
So I'm going to be traveling to Busan without a Visa, I'm Canadian and have all my documents needed to obtain a Visa here in Canada (with the exception of a pre-signed contract)
My question is, once I arrive in Busan and start seeking out schools and recruiters, will I be able to obtain a E-2 Visa in Japan?
I've never teached or traveled to Korea before, and I'm curious as to whether I need to get all my documents notarized here in Canada by a notary public and the Korea Consulate or do I wait till I get to Korea?
I have an F-2 visa and heard there will be some new requirements for those who want to renew their visas. A local hagwon owner told me she attended an informational government meeting today and said that new legislation was passed that will make things harder for F-2s to renew.
