Hey all! There's a teaching position opening on July 23 in Daeyeon (one subway stop away from KSU) for an experienced native-English speaking teacher. This is a great position and I would stay longer but I'm returning home for a career change. Here are the job details:
Hours and students: The working hours are from 2pm-9pm all year round (you get to sleep in--yay!). There are no schedule changes for camps so it's a pretty easy day. The students are mostly elementary school students with some middle school students.
Housing: The housing can either be a housing allowance or the bosses will help you find an apartment.
Pay and Benefits: The pay is 2.2 million but is negotiable based on experience. It's a standard package with 10 paid vacation days, insurance, pension, and severance included in the one year contract. A one-way flight ticket is included as well.
I've been here for close to a year and am actually extending my contract a bit. I've been teaching ESL for almost nine years and I feel fortunate to have been able to end my expat/teaching experience at this hagwon. It's been a stress-free and fun year with bosses who stay out of your hair and co-workers who go above and beyond to help you whenever you need it.
