NEW!! Dale's Korean Temple Adventures Blog

Hello Everyone,

If you're like me, you love visiting Korean temples.  I've been living in Korea, on and off, since 2003 in Busan and Yangsan.  In total, I've visited about 100 temples throughout South Korea and North Korea.  Just recently, I decided to post my pictures, passion, and ideas about Korean temples at:

NEW Blog

Hi,

This is just a posting to introduce my blog to those who may not have read it.

http://jdbrownlie.wordpress.com

There I talk about the Kimchi Squat, being dong chimmed by my teacher, the not so exclusive Haeundae Beach, how Koreans fear fans and many more.

Please have a read and leave a comment.

Thanks

Jangyu to Muju

Hi,

Looking for the easiest way to get to Muju from Jangyu. I've been told there is a direct bus from Jangyu but information is lacking the important details such as times and where from. I can travel from Gimhae or Busan whichever is easiest.

thanks in advance

Recommend a Goshiwon/Goshitel in Busan?

I'll be back in Busan this week or next and need to find a safe, cheap place to stay while I search for an apartment near my new school in the PNU area.  I've lived in Busan before but have never had to search out temporary lodgings.

If you have any good recommendations I'd like to hear them.

Right now I'm strongly considering Lotte Goshitel in Seomyeon.

Ideally the place will be secure enough that I can leave my luggage there... but this is the norm, right?

Costs of Flights

Man flights have become expensive here. 5 days to Beijing for 899 plus all kinds if extras. That used to be like 500 bucks. I went to Shanghai years ago for 280 bucks-this was over Lunar New Year. I love that companies added the fuel tax when oil was 150 a barrell but never got rid of it when it went back down. And the taxes here are getting crazy-like 33%. Travelling out kof Korea is not what is used to be although there are some good travel places out there. One is Lotte travel near Bexco. Also, for those in Jangsan, there is a place in the 2001 outlet (in basement).
