The Asian Community School is one of the very first organizations Busan ATEK Volunteer started to work with. Just a few months ago we carried desks and tables, scrubbed floors, washed windows, cleared trash...the school is starting to take shape.

At this event we will help them prepare for there opening ceremony. They need helping hands to work along side the children to make food and arrange the facility. And hey if you're a ha...m and want to join in their singing and dancing program they'll welcome you!

3pm- Go to the kitchen to help prepare the food for their "Opening Day Party/Program
5pm- A short performance and Opening Day Party (optional)

While you're at the event, be mindful to be a good role-model, jump in and help, interact and engage with the kids. Because these kids come from all over the world the school tries to encourage unity by not identifiying each student by where they come from. They've asked us to take the same approach and not ask "where are you from?"

Here's a little about the school:
Currently there are 50 students ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. Students are children of migrant workers from all around Asia, Russia, Mongolia, and South East Asia. There are numerous opportunities to help them in the future, including weekly English Conversation classes and helping to develop curriculum. If you'd like to get involved we'd be happy to introduce you.

If you have any questions, lost or running late to the event please give me a call on my cell phone 010.2245.0812 or Chris Green at 010.5715.3883
