Hep A shot - NO INSURANCE

Hey all,

I need to get my second Hep A shot before I leave Korea. However, I DON'T have health insurance.

I was quoted $70,000 from Good Moonhwa Hospital for the shot for people WITH health insurance,

meaning it will be more than double that price for me.

Has anyone else gotten a HEP A shot in Korea? Do you think I can find a hospital that has a cheapter price...or are shots usually fixed?

Quick question - does anybody know any korean brand names of drops for my ears to get rid of the wax. In the U.K. we have earex but the wife swears no such thing in Korea!!!

Went to the ear doctor last time, turned out to be a quack, caused me a lot of pain and discomfort.

Earlier this week, I visited a dentist in my local area, in Hadan. I told the dentist that I flossed too hard in the back and it made my gum swollen and painful. I expected he might be able to give me a decent pain killer or something for the swelling. However, his solution was to remove my wisdom teeth. I protested and explained over and over again that it has nothing to do with my teeth, but he didn't want to hear that. I swear, he couldn't be any older than 30 years old.

English Speaking Dr for vaccines

Hey, I'll be traveling to SE Asia in a few weeks and need to get on my vaccines before heading out.

Can anyone recommend a Dr. in Busan who speaks good English? I'm looking to get confirmations on which shots to get for where I'm going and English would be a real plus.

Please help if you can with recommendations!

International Travel Vaccinations hospital/clinic

.Has anyone gotten a Yellow Fever vaccination in Busan? A friend and I will traveling overland through 30 African countries next year and need vaccinations; ours are expired. We need a "Yellow Fever International Vaccination Certificate" to cross some of the borders.

We need boosters for Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Tetanus, Polio, and Meningitis as well but are more concerned about the Yellow Fever vaccination as it's posing to be a rare vaccine in Korea thus far in the search.

Where can I buy lube in Busan?

I mean lubricant of the "personal" variety. I've never seen it in pharmacies or supermarkets, and the only adult store that I've visited here seemed pretty unclean, and many of the items for sale had their packaging opened. If you know anywhere it's sold, please let me know - and bonus points if its not far from Kyungsung.

Can anyone help me out?
