DJ ANTWONE
DJ Antwone (Anthony Sandstrom) began his career in the mid 90's. "Grasped by the allure" of the under-ground rave movement in Vancouver, Canada, he began his appreciation for electronica music. After many late nights of these social interactions so began the infatuation with the turntables. Musically, DJ Antwone has always been heavily influenced by old funk classics and the disco era. Fusing his flavor from these musical genres with the latest 'cutting edge' House sound, Antwone's sets combine his technical prowess on the decks, brilliant programming, and versatility. Allowing him to cross multiple genres with the power to move dancefloors! Antwone has emerged an international DJ with his own infectious blend of solid funky Tech-house. Known to lay down either a sweet blend of deep groovy funky house or whip the dance floor into a 'frenzy' with a hard pumpin' funky electro-tech set. One thing is for certain, there will always be an uplifting 'Funky' element in DJ Antwone's music.
Along his musical journey, DJ Antwone formed friendships with some amazing people, and helped conceive TLC Productions,(Vancouver), promoting numerous fantastic memorable events, like the legendary TLC 'Lost at Sea' boat parties.
After completing a Webdesign program in 2001, Antwone internationally relocated to Thailand, and has been performing at all of Asia's top venues. Securing full-time residencies at the award winning Mystique Club and famous Bed Supperclub, KEE Club, TiVo Bar, Lucile Disko, Distil, and a regular guest DJ at Q Bar. International promoters have quickly taken notice of Antwone's talents and have him performing in over 8 countries through out Asia at the world famous ZOUK Club, Attica Too, Liquid Room in (Singapore), Volar(HK), AXD & Room 18(Taiwan), Circle Club(Korea), Cream Club(KL), DEEP(Shanghai), and Hugos Cafe(Indo). Also an international model and DJ, Antwone's marketability attracts major international brand companies for corporate P.R. events, such as Adidas, L'Oreal, Chanel, Dior, Nokia, ShuUemura, MTV & Channel [V], he was also invited for the exclusive Vivienne Tam 'Fashion Week' Finale party at the ultra plush Guan-Di Club in Shanghai. 2005 saw the highly anticipated opening of Mystique Club, and Antwone's talents were quickly secured as resident DJ and given creative freedom to developed the very successful "SINDUSTRY" Events, also releasing a "SINDUSTRY" promo CD, receiving rave reviews from his fans through out Asia. MTV also featured Antwone as special guest DJ for the 2006 Siloso MTV New Years Splash Party with over 10,000+ people!
