The Association for Teachers of English (ATEK) would like to inform you of an upcoming opportunity for Canadian Teacher in Korea. ATEK is a national association dedicated to

improving life for English teachers in Korea. We try to help English teachers improve professionally, connect with people to improve their quality of life, and give back to our communities. The Canadian Embassy has asked us to dissiminate an invitation to meet and learn about the Embassy's provisions. This is an opportunity for Canadian Teachers to gain knowledge as well as perhaps influence new provisions. 1st presentation:

Education au/in Canada: Trade section wishes to utilise this opportunity to provide Canadian teachers in Korea with details on the Embassy's role and activities to promote education opportunities in Canada, and to support them to be reliable sources of information when students are seeking more information on studying in Canada.

- Topic: The Embassy's role and plan 2011 to promote education opportunities in Canada + Q&A. The presentation will also include a guide to Education au/in Canada brand.

- Presenter: Trade Commissioner responsible for education

 

2nd presentation:

- Topic: English teachers in Korea - Perceptions and Challenges

- Presenter: Prominent members of the English teaching community - confirmed

 

3rd presentation:

-  Michael Hurt,also known as The Metropolitician in blogs; Matt Van Volkenberg, writer of Gust of Popular Feeling; Benjamin Wagner, Kyunghee University Law Professor, involved in Andrea Vandom's court case fighting the mandatory HIV check
