The Route of Santiago de Compostela is an ancient pilgrimage trail in Europe leading to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. It is perhaps the grandest of all Christian pilgrimages. The Route was inscribed to UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1993.
