I plan to move out of my officetel soon. I completed my 2 year contract in February and told the building's Budongsan that I plan to move on April 9th which is more than a months notice. He told me that I need to pay him 420,000 won to find someone to move in and I can't move out until someone moves in. He also claims this to be the law but I can't find this info anywhere on the internet. Could someone please let me know if I must pay him this fee.

Shipping Electronics

Hi, everyone. I'm getting ready to head home and I just bought a PS3 I obviously want to take with me, but I'm told the postal service won't ship it. Is that true? I've heard it either has something to do with Customs or insuring it. Has anyone had experience with this? Do I really have to carry thing thing in my bag with on on the way home? I think DHL has an office here in Busan, but I've also heard they're a bit pricey; pricier than the postal service would be. Anyone know how I can get this thing back to the states without carrying it in my bag? Thanks very much, everyone.

Dificulties for Transexual Visiting from Philippines.

My friend is coming over to visit me from the Philippines. She is a full time transexual and she is worried about being restricted from coming over to Korea to visit me. What can she do to ensure she is not stopped at the border? She has traveled to Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Macau, but she is worried to visit Korea because of the strict rules. Is there any thing she can do to make sure she can visit Korea?

Good car service garages in ULSAN?

I have bought a little Daewoo Lanos and would like to have a service carried out - also the coolant changed ( as it appears it only has water alone in there!).

Does anyone know a good place in Ulsan? I can always get a friend to write in Korean the above - I'm more interested in good work at a fair price.

Indeed, if anyone knows what kind of prices I should expect, that would help even more.

Thanks all!

Don't work In Daegu if you like your freedom

Seriously I wouldn’t  work in Daegu ever again. It is a small minded town, and if you think they are xenophobic in Seoul or Pusan it is much worse here as it is in boon dock towns.

I have lived in Seoul and Geyonggido province. I have experienced tensions in the formerly mentioned but it is much worse here. In Seoul or Geyonggido I never had problems if I approached women in café’s restaurants or bus stops etc. Here in Daegu I have had women look at me in utter shock or they have walked away very quickly.

Chinese consulate

Previously on here I could find the information about various consulates however that is not the case right now.  What I specifically need is telephone number of the one for China so I can find out how much I will have to pay for a visa.
