fair pay TOEFL essay grading

I'm just curious about how TOEFL essay teachers are compensated for their grading of essays?  For example, if a you are a teacher teaching a class of 12 students, how does your employer pay you for the grading of those 12 essays?    Do you get extra pay?  Are these hours figured into your daily workload?

CDI Busanjin

Anyone have experience with this school?  I currently work for a CDI in Busan but may need to transfer branches in the future and want to know if this is a good one.  Thanks much.

Dancing role in Busan

I am currently living in Jinhae, moving to Busan in 3 weeks - yay!

My enquiry is:

I have a sister who lives in Australia who is a qualified dance instructor. She owned and operated her own school for 20 years.

She teaches all latin-american/salsa/ballroom/weddings etc.

She would love to come to Korea and work - in any related dancing role, like teaching dancing, managing a school while the owner has a break etc.

She does not have a Bachelors of anything but has lots of trophies and recognition of her years of dancing/teaching.

Finding non-teaching job in Korea as a multilingual

Hi, I would like to ask about finding non-teaching work in South Korea. I intend to go to live in Korea in Summer 2012 and I wish to find non-teaching work out there to make the most of my languages and experience. I speak fluently in French and Japanese (Level 1 Proficiency held) and have native English and upper intermediate korean. I intend to spend about a year or so studying Korean in Korea to become fluent in Korean also, and this will also allow me to get my feet on the ground looking for jobs in the meantime.

Newbie in Pusan looking for a job!!!

Hi! I’ve arrived in Korea few days ago, after my fiancé got a job in Pusan. I already miss working so please help!!!

I’m an experienced Greek archaeologist with a bachelor and master degree from UK university. I ‘know getting an archaeological job will be very difficult so any job will do, at this point. I ‘don’t speak Korean but I’m planning to start learning it right away! By the way, I ‘heard about KLIFF and Pusan National University for studying the language, do you have further suggestionsor any comments on those two?

Teaching in Korea with a family

Hi, my fiance and I are thinking about taking our daughter overseas to see te world and would love to do this via teaching ESL. My partner is a fully qualified teacher here in AUS and I am currently studying the same degree. If she was to work in ESL, is it possible for both my daughter and I to live in the country without working? ( I can study online).

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Scott Ryan
