Okay, okay, I am kidding, perhaps one of the cheapest place to shop in Seoul.
Sure, there is Dongdaemun and Namdaemun, but it's overcrowded with tourist.
Also there's the Myeongdong, Apgujeong, and..oh..the list could go on.
But you really can find cheap and trendy clothes near university area.
Think Hongdae University and Ehwa University, for example.
Ehwa or locally pronounced (Edae) shopping area are for those who loves to hunt for trendiest item.
You can see lots of local searching for unique items here at a best price of course.
But here's a tip, once you enter, wander around at the back street.
These shops are located at narrow alley at the back street.
But please know before hand, most clothes are sold at Korean size figure.
Free size, and no trying for most shop.
Unlucky me, only selected designs I can fit. sob..sob...
But still, there are other things to shop such as bags, trinkets, and shoes.
And ooohhh... it's cheap...
Most clothes start from 5000 won (US 5) and there are a lot of choices.
Shoe may start from 10,000 won (US 10) and bag, err.. I did not check....
I do not kid you, seeing is believing.
Some commercial shops are global tax free too.
Apart from shopping, there are numerous of cozy cafe and restaurant scattered around.
And there is a lot of dessert kind of shop - patisseries, chocolate, waffle, ice cream etc
And even a diet restaurant!
If you happen to have time, there's lots of saloon scattered around in Ehwa area.
It seems that saloon is quite famous in this area.
Do drop by if you have time after a long day of shopping around.
