Job Description:
The candidate will be working as part of engineering team at BSQUARE Korean office to work on projects originated from Korea, or other Asian Countries. The Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of lengthy and highly complex hardware and/or software on schedule, within budget, attaining quality standards and that meet the project requirements. Extensive project management skills will be demonstrated from initial requirements through final delivery. Projects managed by the Program Manager typically include hardware, platform software, application software, and QA engineering services in the embedded system industry. The Program Manager will understand, manage and report the project financials, change management process, Project Tracking System and be fully aware of how decisions will impact the customer and/or BSQUARE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures customer satisfaction by managing the details of project schedule, project financials and deliverables, providing regular status reports to the customer and negotiating change of scope cost increases.
• Plans and maintains project schedules in Microsoft Project, develops and maintains staffing plans, monitors project team members’ progress and makes adjustments as required, assesses risks, controls changes, triages bugs, surfaces and resolves issues as they occur and provides regular project status reports to BSQUARE management.
• Assists Sales with winning new and repeat business by participating in presales meetings and developing thorough and accurate budgetary and Statements of Work.
• Works closely with engineering management team and Legal to ensure that Statements of Work and other legal documents are clear, concise and specific with respect to BSQUARE’s obligations.
• Works closely with Finance to insure that Customer invoices are accurate and complete.
• Primary interface between the customer and BSQUARE (project team members, engineering management, Sales, Legal, Finance and Marketing) once the project is underway.
• Helps win repeat business by making every practical effort to ensure that the customer’s experience with BSQUARE.
• Contributes and conforms to program management processes (PMI), tools, and documentation.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Level of Korean : Native or Equivalent to Native
• candidate must be allowed to work in Korea
• 5+ years of high tech industry experience, which out of it, 3+ years product management experience
• Development and management of strategic partner relationships
• Overall market demand assessment
• Excellent communication skills
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Degree in technical degree preferred, program management in software development or software development and hardware engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Account Management/Customer Relationship Management-type experience
• Experience managing multiple small consulting projects in parallel
• Proven ability to sell consulting services to new and existing customers

Relevant industry knowledge

• Must be extremely effective in setting and managing the customers’ expectations throughout the course of the project. Good understanding of contract or product specifications.
• Requires the ability to efficiently manage projects developed at multiple sites or locations.
• Requires a good understanding of the software development life cycle previous hands-on experience in software or platform development is a big plus
• A good understanding of embedded technology such as Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Android or Embedded Linux is a plus
• With Project Management Certification is a plus.
• Certified ScrumMaster and/or Knowledge of Scrum is desireable.
