I read somewhere that kids get up to eight colds a year, with each cold lasting an average of 5 to 7 days. I work with kids, and I think I’m on my 100th illness since last summer, when I started this job.

I realize that a lot of this can be avoided by not sharing food with the kids or telling them no when they want to put their sticky fingers in my mouth… but I don’t care. I’m hoping I’ll eventually adjust to all the germs and become immune. Until then, I can’t breathe through my nose. Awesome.
