The area: Partner Solutions Organization, Google TV
Google TV’s Partner Solutions Organization (PSO) is a technology group dedicated to developing and managing Google TV’s strategic device partnerships. Our multi-faceted professionals address our partners’ most pressing technology challenges – ones that have no simple answers. We build enduring long-term relationships with organizations that are strategically important for us to take Google TV’s world-shaping technologies to market.

The role: Google TV, Technical Solutions Engineer
As a Technical Solution Engineer, you will work with the latest silicon technologies and integrate Google TV software into an embedded system solution. You will work with our most strategic device manufacturer partners worldwide to bring to market the world-changing technology of Google TV. You will also work closely with the core Google TV product engineers, sales engineers and technical account managers to improve the product’s vision and to make Google partners successful.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and document embedded system solutions
• Create robust maintainable code
• Join efforts with the core engineering team on creating innovative platforms for Google TV
• Port Google TV software to new embedded platforms.
• Design and implement special-purpose test suites

Requirements:

• BS or MS degree preferred in Computer Science or related technical degree.
• At least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Solid programming experience skills in C, C++, Compilers and Software Tools (linkers, debuggers, cross-reference, command-line utilities), Embedded Software and Real-time Systems, Graphics and Imaging.
• Demonstrated skills and extensive development experience in Unix/Linux system program including kernel/driver, system services that utilizes RPC, network, graphics sub-system, audio/video sub-system and cross-platform porting.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix open source developments, A/V media player devices development, Android system programing are a major plus.
• Desirable knowledge & skills in at least three of the following areas: Linux system internal, cross platform development, Android platform, GPU/Graphics sub-system, A/V media handling, HDMI/HDCP, DRM and Security engine.
