Eulwang / Eurwangi Beach

Finally, my husband came back from one month business trip overseas.
In celebration of  my itchy leg to travel, fasting month and hubby return; we did short excursion.
To the beach on hot summer days of course - before raining on Sunday.

We packed our little tent, clothes, toiletries as we planned to stay there for a night.
(Well, it was me who think we could do overnight camping whilst he was forced to.)
So off we go to Eulwang beach via Incheon Airport.

Eulwang beach is the nearest beach from Seoul and 20 minutes from Incheon airport.
This beach is located on the west coast of Seoul facing Yellow sea.
Easily access and famous for seafood and affordable accommodation among locals,
it comes to no surprise for residential short excursion from hectic city life.

Back to my journey...
So we took bus number 306 at level 3 terminal exit 3.

So we hopped on the local bus and start our journey.

This part of Incheon island, is different than capital Seoul,
On our way to the beach, there's lots of small greenery farm and low rise houses.
Passing through small narrow road which is different than Incheon town.

After few minutes, I can smell the ocean waft.
The bus passed to several beaches, where lots of family camping and children playing.
Lots of cars packed by the side of the road, and I was over joyed.

After few stops, finally came Eulwangi beach station where most passenger will stop here.
We were greeted with big arch written in Hanggul that spells Eulwangi Beach.
Then came shops and restaurant selling swimming items, snack and seafood.

It cost 5,000 won to rent one.

Seafood restaurant along the road

As I slowly wade through the crowds towards the beach end, I was shocked.
Over-crowded, man!
Resident flocked the beach with their family and friends.
Some camping, some swimming and eating, there is no place for us to sit or swim at all.

Exhausted, we settled for this potato before we make a new plan

A must try.

Someone is tired.

We heard so many good story about this beach.

It makes sense, today is the only day in this weekend that is not raining.
Everybody wants to go to the beach.
Plus it was already late in the evening, sure first come first serve.

Do not get discourage, it's fun.
It's just that we are too old for 'happening' beach....

Tiredly, while lugging our big bags heavy with tent and clothes, we changed to another beach.
Hanage Beach which is few minutes off from this beach. (Coming post)
