I am curious does anyone get responces from the classifieds when they are looking for work, or do just recruiters contact you?
Well, if you take a look at all the job ads, 90% of the posters are recruiters. If you don't want recruiters to contact you, I recommend finding ads that are posted directly by schools and contacting them personally.
Desperate ads from desperate people. I would be very leery in giving my number out to any recruiter. I'm sure many are decent people but about 8-9 years ago I got the one from hell. She hounded me so badly I had to change my phone number. She wanted me to leave my university job because and I quote: ''but the director is so kind and the children are so well behaved''. I was only looking for part-time work back then but this woman would not leave it alone. I don't wish this upon anyone, tread carefully, use email only for the initial response or inquiry.
