In terms of sales, yes! Back home you can get tons of stuff on sale at places like Best Buy.
But if you price a brand new model of a particular electronic item that is not on sale (so, if you wanted to get the latest Mac Book, iPad, Playstation, etc.), at launch...the list retail price IS the same.
Just do the math with the sales taxes you'd pay...
Thats amazing. Already number one in the developed world for traffic accidents and they want to make getting a license easier? I already dont know how many of the people managed to get theirs as is. Very scary!
My 40" Samsung tv that cost about 1.1mil was on sale at Best Buy back home for little over $500. Video cards for computers, GTX680 costs 700,000-800k but back home costs $499. I recently ordered a 16gb memory kit off amazon and had it shipped here cheaper than I could find in market or off any korean website. Laptops...
Here's the cherry to top off this thread. A few months ago I was reading in the newspaper that the federal government is going to make the driving tests easier because people were complaining that it was too difficult. No shit dumbass!!! It should be difficult.
Thank you so, so much you guys. I have been growing my hair out for months, and I want to make sure the next haircut is worth it, and not a setback for another several months. I will definitely follow up on the advice here and get a haircut this weekend. I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. These days I am looking for platanos (green bananas). I can usually find them at Filipino markets. I will check out Ssang.
I was serious when I said I hope you get your money for this item. It just seems we have seen a lot of MAC products that have been very high priced. I own a iMac and really like it. But at the same time, it is just a computer... It can't cook, it can't clean, it can't work the corner...

This post is full of win, gqvisionz. I do agree wholeheartedly that Korea isn't known for it's sales, discounts, freebies (aside from a free bag of ramen with every purchase over 50,000won, etc.). Best Buy and other such places back home have Korea beat in terms of sales. I simply meant to point out that people tend to forget that the exchange rate and sales tax tend to even out on standard...
I don't know why he went and quoted ebay prices when it was already mentioned on and on that people in korea won't pay that much for a used macbook.
but not wanting to let one sided information be out there.. who pays retail these days? (got my current gen macbook pro 15 new from $2700 down to $2200, student discounts plus tax free day ftw!)
You do realize that Ebay is NOT a reliable guideline for pricing items.
Ebay is where people go when they want to believe their stuff is worth more than it actually is. Many people on the Koreabridge have already agreed that Ebay is not a good "rule of thumb" to be adhering to. Prices fluctuate on Ebay by the...
There seems to be some sort of complex at work here in Mr Champ. I'm not going to stoop to it; one only has to look at what I wrote about my reason for selling (new USPS laws regarding shipping lithium batteries) to know that there's nothing greedy at work here. I'm just trying to save myself a hassle and someone else a load of money on a like-new Macbook in Korea. If you want to...
i see... looks like the general concensus for macs in korea isn't very high. seller: if you won't drop below your asking 1 mil, better just bring it with you to sell at your home country. I'd totally buy it at 500k too :-p even though I already have the latest model 15"
and a 6k macbook pro? i think you're thinking of a mac pro desktop. I havent ever seen...

Have a great spring weekend.

Still for sale. Looking for a decent offer.

Hey guys, any suggestions for motorcycle shops that may speak some English?
Hello,
Can you tell me if brands as Geo, Dueba, or Vassen are very famous in Korea ?
Geo are my favorite and the most comfortable to wear I think but you didn't speak about this brand ?
Thanks for info.

I have yet to see...
I'm done with this crap.
This isn't the first overpriced USED Mac Book to be sold on Koreabridge, and it certainly will not be the last.
Do as you will. I just hope that people know exactly what they could be getting, brand new with higher specs, with the money they'll be giving you.
I'm just astonished at the nerve of some people.
I totally...
Ebay? Really? You're citing Ebay?

Also, a good point was raised:
Since this guy wants to sell at only $300 less the purchase price, isn't that tantamount to renting a Mac for $300 a year?
Seriously, this guy's offer is rotten. Pure and simple.
Simon says you are correct. I know it's not a desktop, considering he's used it in my apartment.
You might be on to something with your suspicions. ;)

Just asked Simon what he thinks, and his advice, and I quote:
"Hellz no! I wouldn't buy it for more than 500,000won! Get a Macbook Air for cheaper!"
Actually Macs are about the same price when you include the tax in most states and the actual exchange.
As for PC's no, they are way cheaper if you know where to have one built.
But then if you are just shopping at Megamart and Homeplus you will get what you pay for---> convenience.
My suggestion about paying 800 is simply a starting point, but again it is a year...
