- The 8th Gwanghwamun International Art Festival _Now We Go To Gwanghwamun
Centering on the historic symbol Gwanghwamun, the festival is expected to play a role of closely connecting arts to the general public by firmly settling down arts and culture and approaching to Seoul citizens with 'Art Festival'. Also, it is making progress toward establishing Gwanghwamun as the center of a more vivid and new arts & culture festival in Korea. The 8th Gwanghwamun International Art Festival held a subscription exhibition to be divided into two parts: existing artists and young talented artists. The works of 175 artists selected through a fierce competition rate of 4.5:1 will be presented. The 3rd Gwanghwamun Love Drawing Contest of Children which was firstly held in Gwanghwamun is scheduled to be held on Children's Day (May 5) and convey a hopeful message of arts and culture through children with a wish to be pure artists. The 2nd prize work will be exhibited at Hangeul Gallery within the Story of King Sejong Exhibition Hall. It is an exhibition giving access to the general public. Admission is free. Open to everyone.
