We will meet at the shelter at 2:30pm (the shelter is closed for lunch until 2pm). There will be a short gathering where we will go over the safety points then we will take some dogs and head out to Dyuru Park and walk around the lake.

Once the first walk is finished those interested can go on a second walk or visit the cat house.

Please wear old clothes and shoes. Feel free to invite your friends.

In Korea we rarely get big dogs in so most of the dogs you will be walking are small companion animals. They may be small but they love the walk and they are very friendly.

This is a Korean shelter so please be aware that the western standards do not apply. Some people can find it overwhelming on their first visit. Concentrate on the fact that you are giving the dogs a 'day trip' out and really make the most of their day, trust me they will appreciate your love and attention, even for a couple of hours. If you wish to do more after attending the dog walk we will be posting a note soon of assistance we really need in the coming months, your volunteer help is invaluable to KAPS.

Donations we appreciate: Dog leashes and harnesses (small, x small and medium), warm dog clothes for small dogs in the coming winter, food, dry and wet, worming medicine, treats.

Directions: In Daegu City, take the red subway line to Daemyoung Subway Station (6th station heading to Daegok from Banwoldang). Leave the subway from EXIT 4. Once past the elevator take an immediate left. Walk through the car valet area and ahead of you will be KAPS. There is a brown, yellow and green fence. You can enter the shelter through the blue door.
