I haven't blogged in a few days. I have an explanation... and a confession.
I officially fell off the wagon. Yesterday and the day before I stepped a bit off the deep end emotionally and ate food that I wasn't supposed to eat for another 2 months. I'm not going to go into detail. All you guys need to know is that I blew it because stress won out over my willpower.
These past few days have been extremely stressful for reasons that I'll explain on a later date.
South Korea is a country about the size of Indiana. For such a small country, it has definitely made its mark in the world. S. Korea has a vision for the future and is working to become more “foreign friendly” and touristy. Foreign friendly basically means that foreigners will feel welcomed and be able to function (i.e. more English signs) easily when visiting.
Each weekend, Jo and I try to eat out and try something new. While we most often end up back at Dos Tacos or On the Border (I can't help but to love Mexican food), there is one little café in Dongtan that I've longed to try.
Half the fun of participating in a company-sponsored foot race is psyching yourself up for the big day. Our ritual includes telling everyone we know that we've signed up, reminding everyone who has already signed up that we're running together, and going shopping to purchase a range of arbitrarily necessary running gear.
If this survey had been written by one of my students, I would have been very impressed. it wasn’t, but rather written by a native English speaker living in the US and completing her masters Degree. This survey is part of her degree work.
I should admit that my own blog is full of little errors and I even spent a little time before writing this post in making corrections. Still, there is nothing formal about this blog.
The last week has been super busy. I am about to finish my job and move. So I am selling stuff and packing. We also shot a new video that is awesome but will take a bit more time to edit. So I did another Life in South Korea vlog this week. It has been awhile since I made one of these videos. I will make some more of them over the next few weeks.
