Old Town of Santiago de Compostela

Rebuilt in the 11th century after it's destruction, the Old Town of Santiago de Compostela is dominated by imposing - and magnificent - Gothic and Baroque architecture. The town is the destination of Christian pilgrims who follow the Route of Santiago to reach the tomb of St. James. The Old Town of Santiago was inscribed to UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1985.
