Upcoming Films: White Night, Suddenly Last Summer and Going South

Director Lee Song-hee-il (이송희일) has a set of movies that will be released in late 2012. White Night (백야) is the first film and the longest at 75 minutes. From HanCinema:

Won-gyu, a steward, returns to Seoul 2 years after he left with a painful memory. He meets Tae-jun acquainted on the Web and they have a special night at the place of Won-gyu's bad memory. A queer film by Leesong hee-il inspired by an actual case of random street assault by a homophobe in Jong-no.

The other two films are much shorter, but also intrigue me. Suddenly, Last Summer (지난여름 갑자기) is about Teacher Kyeong-hoon who is pushing away the persistent Sang-woo. The trailer is up on youtube (no subtitles):

Last is Going South (남쪽으로 간다).

Ki-tae hands senior Jun-yeong coffee with sleeping pills. He then takes the sleeping Jun-yeong south, in his car. When he wakes up, the secret they both had reveals itself...

Looks like a bunch of good stories with cute guys. I'm pretty excited. When they are playing with English subtitles, I'll be sure to inform my readers. For those of you who have good Korean, there is a viewing tomorrow, November 12th at Lotte Picadilly Theater in Jongno at 7:30 pm. To be honest, I'm not sure if you can buy tickets at the door; Ivan City gave away some 50 tickets, but I would imagine there are more than 50 seats in a theater the size of Lotte Picadilly...

To get to the theater, go to exit 2-1 of Jongno 3 Ga. The theater will be right in front of you.
