Job Requirements:
The Intelligence Systems Business Unit has an opening for a Systems Administrator in Seoul, South Korea supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in a customer facing IT services task providing support activities to desktop, workcenter and field sites enabling access to DoDIIS Enterprise services and other service providers enterprise capabilities.

The job will perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks and have responsibility for Desktop system management and configuration involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions. Provide technical guidance and recommendations of changes in order to be able to sustain operational systems both in the US and abroad in locations throughout the world. The system administration activities will include monitoring of the systems and recommending a course of action for improvements of monitoring capabilities to these systems using established and best practices. The Sr. System Administrator will also provide detailed recommendations on improving stability and supportability to development engineers by conducting research; coming up with new approaches and integrating new technologies into new and existing systems, including the transition and migration of enterprise systems.

Required Education & Experience: A Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (information systems, computer science, mathematics, etc.) and 5 years experience in systems administration, troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems involving software applications, operating systems, client/server hardware and/or combinations thereof.

Two (2) additional years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree. Four (4) additional years of related work experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors degree.

Desired Education & Experience: CompTIA Security+ or certification in compliance with DoDD 8570. Technical certifications commensurate with individuals length, depth and type of experienceMCP, RHCT or SCSA. VMWare certified professional (VCP). Additional certifications for specialized experience or technology tracks; Patch Management, Microsoft SCCM and passed exam 70-401 or its equivalent; Enterprise COOP/Storage Services, NetApp (NCDA) or EMC (EMCST) cerfications; Client/Service Baseline supportMicrosoft (MCSE), Red Hat (RHCE), Sun Solaris (SCNA).
