(Seoul) Dining... in a tent!

My sister came to visit us for a few days in early May. When we were all in Seoul, we met up with Kimchi boy's classmate from his university and went to this cool hang out place for dinner. We got to dine in a tent! It was really cozy, not too small and just enough space to sit 4-5 people without feeling claustrophobic.

The place (restaurant) is called 미래소년. It is located near a subway station (10 minutes walk away) and tucked away in a quiet alley. Can't remember which station. The place was recommended by Kimchi boy and he saw it on some TV show.

I love the interior of the place.. everything is so old school!

This is my little sister, a crazy Star Wars fan.

Then there is a random corner right next to the restaurant. This tiny shed houses two donkeys...

Outdoor dining area (the dining tents) is on the second floor. That night, some guy was getting ready to propose to a lucky lady. All the nosy customers on the second floor got a chance to witness the "unfortunate" proposal. What happened was.. he had made a video to show his girlfriend but the video failed half way due to some technical glitches... But he did put in a lot of effort in decorating the place.

We ordered lots of food... butter grilled prawns, korean style tom yum soup, fried pig's trotter. Together with a jug of cranberry juice and a jug of Korean rice wine... the dinner amounted to a whopping ₩150,000 (~180 sgd) !!! REALLY expensive for this exotic dining experience.

Overall, we had a great time. Cozy ambience, convenient location, great place for a catch up session with old friends but.. be prepared for a hefty bill.
