Hey thanks for the comment. We are using wordpress which is a very easy and convenient platform to blog on. Blogger also offers a platform tht is pretty solid as well. As far as knowledge of HTML...you really don't need any working knowledge unless you plan on tweaking themes and adding in new widgets that are outside the parameters of the themes you use. Having said that, you can find useful HTML help for just about any coding hiccup you might run into online. Good luck with it!
