Job Description

We are recruiting a Commercial Manager to successfully grow and develop the business in South Korea in line with Company Strategy.

We are recruiting a Commercial Manager to successfully grow and develop the business in South Korea in line with Company Strategy. The Commercial Manager will be targeted on group targets and individual targets.

Result Areas:

  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to strengthen the commercial offering within the defined territory and within company as a whole ensuring a consistent high quality representation of what company has to offer.
  • Day to day Sales Management of direct reports including target setting, monitoring of performance, setting priorities, feedback and development. Successfully manage a motivated, committed and results driven sales team. Ownership of a set of key clients to be managed personally as well as provide guidance to members of the team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of all key sales management tools.
  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting for the commercial result within the defined area of responsibility and delivering agreed results.
  • Deliver the key commercial results for a defined territory eg Sales, GP.
  • Fully understand the costs as well as the potential Sales & GP of every deal to ensure every deal done adds a value to Company.
  • Ensure the agreed local commercial budget is not exceeded.
  • Ensure Company proposition is presented in the most effective way possible in order to increase sales success.
  • Be the recognizable face of the Company and a visible presence in the marketplace within the region known to all key customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Lead small office in Korea (overall 3 staffs).

Skills Required:

  • University or post-graduate education
  • Above 8 years proven sales success within an international company. It is essential that the successful candidate will possess a global mindset and understand global working culture.
  • Must have strong people management skills and experience with proven sales leadership, motivation and management skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively at a high level
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Affinity with e-businesses, preferably in intermediary services
  • Ability to formulate high-level concepts and translate these into concrete action plans
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Able to communicate in English fluently is a MUST.
  • Working experience from Publishing industry; Information related will be highly preferred
  • Successful commercial experience, with corporate clients as key targets, is an advantage.
