Assist Fitness & Training Manager at Reebok – Seoul, Korea

Job Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

Assist the overall strategy and management in the development and execution of Koreas Strategic Fitness plan to achieve our Route 2015 goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively work with Reebok Marketing and gym to identify synergies, opportunities, manage expectations and support the Fitness plan.
  • Assist in the management and execution of all Fitness event related topics in close relationship with local PR/Event team as well as implementation of the local strategic Fitness Plan to increase awareness of Reebok as a leading fitness & training brand.
  • Assist in the execution of the MWB planning process according to the official timelines and targets: Strategic Business Plan, Mid-Term Budget and Operational Budget to maximize the effectiveness of our Fitness initiatives.

Main Tasks:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the local strategic Fitness Plan including but not limited to;
  • opening quality Reebok CF gyms throughout Korea
  • ensuring consistency in branding
  • Aligning online and social media sights
  • ensuring that sales opportunities are maximized at all gym and event locations
  • Assist in the implementation of the overall strategy and management of affiliates/ trainers. This includes scouting, recruiting, endorsing, and executing local athlete contracts
  • Assist in managing the relationship with Reebok/CrossFit Affiliates that help grow the CrossFit community:
  • set an energetic, helpful and friendly tone for all trainers managing relations with Reebok & CrossFit Affiliates
  • communicate regularly with affiliates, trainers and the CrossFit community via in-person, web, individual and e-newsletters to keep them educated and engaged
  • ensure all Reebok Affiliates are keeping to Reebok CF programing
  • ensure the Community provide accurate information on grassroots events, product seeding, R& D sessions.
  • Recruit and establish a list of potential L1 trainers.
  • Assist in the execution of the Reebok CrossFit Games: fully integrated marketing programs that drive awareness of CrossFit and Reebok CrossFit Games elevate Reebok as a brand and apparel/footwear provider.
  • Build out/execute regional activation plans
  • Partner with Reebok CrossFit gym affiliates to organize and build excitement around CrossFit games and activate “Fittest Male/Female” competition (sectional event) in-gym
  • Create grassroots marketing/seeding events

Financial & Budgetary:

  • Develop monthly/annual business plans
  • Manage grassroots marketing budget

  • Efficient Fitness budget management
  • Timely and Quality gym openings

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Interpersonal, influencing skills (e.g., relationship management, facilitation) and a passion for Fitness
  • Demonstrated success in grassroots marketing initiatives
  • Understanding of target consumer and cultural connection to fitness, fashion, entertainment/events, sport and media
  • Communication and presentation skills with basic business acumen
  • Ability to enroll key stakeholders and gain support for initiatives

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • > 4 years professional experience
  • Korean & English (writing and verbal)
  • IT skills: basic MS office skills
