For part of my winter camp I decided to host a music video contest with my high-level high school students. On the first day of the project, we studied/learned the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s latest hit, “Shake If Off.” For the next week, students spent one hour each day working in groups of 6-8 on their own music videos. True to competitive Korean spirit, all of the groups even met up to put in some extra hours on the weekends. In addition to being judged on quality of lip syncing, dancing, acting and over-all effect, students also received bonus points for filming at different locations, incorporating props and costumes, and getting other students/faculty/staff to participate! This is the winning video! I’m currently having trouble getting copies of the other submissions, but if they decide to cooperate I will upload them as well! Enjoy!
