We are proud to bring you Busan's 4th production of The Vagina Monologues. All the proceeds from the monologues and connected events go to charity, 90% of which will go to local women's shelters right here in Busan, the other 10% to the global V-day cause. 

The award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than twelve years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.

This year we will have three performances! 
Saturday, April 27th at 7pm
Sunday, April 28th at 2pm
Sunday, April 28th at 7pm

75 tickets for each show will be sold in advance at Fully Booked in KSU for 12,000 won each(cash only). If you buy your ticket in advance, you may get in one hour before the performance starts to get a great seat. 25 tickets for each show will be sold at the door 30 minutes before the performance for 15,000 won each (cash only).

After the Saturday performance, there will be a "One Billion Rising" dance party at Vinyl Underground from 10 pm -12. Show your ticket from any of the three performances to get in for free!

미국의 극작가이자 시인, 사회운동가, 시나리오 작가인 이브 엔슬러의 히트 연극입니다. 작가 이브 엔슬러는 200명이 넘는 각계각층의 여성들을 인터뷰하여 써내려 간 원작이야기를 모놀로그 연극으로 작품화하였습니다.원작은 이미 세계 24개국에 번역 출판되었고, 국내에도 2001년에 책으로 출간되어 있었습니다. 또 연극은 전 세계 119개 국가에서 45개 언어로 공연되었으며, 버자이너 모놀로그가 공연된 나라들로 력에 대항하는 대중적이고 세계적인 운동인 V-Day 운동을 확산시키고 있었습니다. 연극은 남편에게 존중 받지 못하는 여성 생식기, 강제로 성폭행당한 여성의 절규, 동성애자로서 자신의 정체성을 찾아가는 여성, 여성의 자위행위, 여성의 성을 찾아내는 워크샵, 그리고 여성의 출산 등 여성의 생식기로부터 비롯되는 다양한 이야기를 들려줍니다. 

금기시 되는 여성의 생식기에 대한 이야기. 버자이너 모놀로그. 하지만 수치심과 죄책감 없이 자신의 일부분이자 자신의 가장 핵심적인 부분에 대해서 말 할 수 있어야 한다고 자랑스러워 할 수 있어야 한다고 사랑할 수 있어야 한다고 말하는 이 연극. 바로 버자이너 모놀로그 입니다.
