This three week solo exhibition will feature my photographic art, of which most of the collaborative compositions have not been shown publicly in a gallery prior to this event. Meaning and Metaphor isn't about cute crafts and dust collect knick-knacks. Meaning and Metaphor is about substance, vulnerability, strength, character. Art, and its careful interpretation, is a reflection of all who can view. Those who look might not see, and those who hear might not listen.

I am interested in the irony and conflict and beauty of life. What is perceived reality is not always so upon closer inspection and introspection. The routine and commonplace, while too often overlooked, is often the source of beauty and that is meaningful. There is pain, yet there is joy also.

I will be giving a talk at the GIC Gallery on opening day at 3:00 p.m. There will be a question and answer period as well as time given to talk about the photographs presented. All artwork is for sale.
