Where to buy Basil plant?

Does anyone know where to buy a basil plant(in a pot), if not...how about the seeds, if not, how about a big bag of basil leaves.? Maybe Costco? Let me know :) Also, let me know the spelling in Korean too if anyone can :)

Also, Mint plants as well :)

Re: Where to buy Basil plant?

I have found small mint plants for 3,000 won from time to time in the little plant sections at Home Plus. They come and go; just have to keep your eyes open.

As for basil, some friends claim they have found fresh basil in big supermarkets, but in ten years of looking for it I've never seen any myself. Now I just grow my own basil from seeds I have sent from the U.S. I don't have any seeds left, but if you're desperate I could hook you up with a small potted basil plant (That is, if the person taking care of them hasn't let them die while I was away this summer.) E-mail or PM me if you're interersted.

The only place I've found it in the last couple of years is E-Mart Haeundae.

Available online as plants

And sometimes you can get the seeds at various flower and gardening shops around town. Farmers Market is probably best bet.

I bought some seeds from Gmarket.  They were like 3,000.  They have all kinds of seeds.

I actually got them in Deokcheon at a plant store inside the market. It would be hard to explain exactly where, but after 10 minutes I'm sure you could find in there. Take the main Gate near where all the buses stop. Got straight into it and it should be on your left.

You can get basil leaves and other fresh herbs at a reasonable price from nicemarket.net.  Some of the herbs they sell are seasonal and they don't always have in stock, but usually mint, basil, and cilantro are pretty safe bets.

I've seen them at HP sometimes.

The Emart in the basement of shinsaegae has fresh basil sometims in the produce section.

there is a plant shop in Dayeon across the street from the museum.  If you are at the big round about in dayeon (dayeon rotary) it is pertty mush a straight line across from the museum.  I've seen basil plants there most of the time.
