travelling from Busan to Muju - organizing our own ski package

Does anybody know if there is a bus service from Busan to Muju ski resort

There are some packages available from tour companies but i wanted to know if ther is any independant way of getting there and organising our own ski package.

cheers

Well probably the easiest way to do it is hiring a car. But if you are using public transport I looked into the exact same thing last year and concluded the following.

There appears to be no direct bus, but it's possible with transfers.

There is a train to the nearest town and then about a 30 minute bus ride to Muju.

However, once you take into account the cost of lift passes and ski and boot hire, both options are more expensive than the tours.

If you were planning to spend more than a day there. Or wanted better quality equipment than the generic stuff offered right at the slopes, then taking public transport may be worth considering.

you can rent your own bus. i had a club party last year-a booze cruise then back to my place for a dance party and i rented a big bus. it cost me about 200 to go from the marina to songjong and then back to haeundae. if you got enough peeps and you want to party it up, this may be the way to go. or, just take the regular bus there. check for times at the bus terminal. break a leg!
