I'm curious if anyone can recommend a good Italian pasta place in/near Hauendae. I know there are a group in Kyungsung but want to try something near the beach. Let me know if anyone has a suggestion. Thanks!
That's easy. Van Gogh's Terrace. One of the nicest locations in town with outside seating with stunning views over the bridge. Food is also pretty darn good and affordable. And great service.
It's on the 'new' Marine City development, at the end of the beach a little past the Chosun Beach Hotel. Just follow the road around and it's a little past Golden Suites.
The food has always seemed a step above all the restaurants in Kyungsung, but also the prices are a little higher as well, but you get what you pay for. I am pretty sure they make their own pasta and ingredients used are noticeably better. I highly recommend the scallops if you are partial to them. Besides pasta they do some nice fish and meat dishes.
Prices the last time I went were about 5-10 bucks for starters and 14-18 bucks for a main pasta course. The fish and meat dishes were 20 bucks plus.
There are also Italian restaurants in some of the hotels in the area, but prices there are starting to get steep.
