Nintendo Wii - Korean Version

Hello.

I'm planning to buy a Korean Nintendo Wii. Does anyone know if the language can be change to English? Are the games' language switchable to English?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Nintendo Wii - Korean Version

Sure, you can change the console to English. As for the games, on the back, they all say what langauge they are in. You should be able to tell if there is English. Most big title games have English. Also, you can purchase games online that are multi-lingual. I think playasia.com is one of them. If you are going to buy the system new and in person, I recommend buying from Costco because you get bonus stuff, the price is decent, and you can return it if there is ANY problem.

All menus for the Korean console are in KOREAN. That being said, it isn't that hard to navigate. Korean games are probably going to be in Korean language.

You can order a Wii online and the shipping is free in South Korea! You will need a  AC Adapter with the step down capacity to fit the US Wii with Korean voltage.  Cost is like 20,000

Hi, I've also bought a korean wii but I can't seem to find out how to change the language. A step by step guide would be so helpful if anyone knows :)

Thank you so much,

There isn't an option to change the language in the wii menu. You need to hack it. Or take it to a shop. The menus aren't that difficult to navigate though.
