Is Gold Theme Street in Beomnaegol any good?

Whenever I walk by the place looks like it's nothing but huge gaudy bright yellow couples rings. But I'd really like the idea of buying an elegant engagement ring there. Do the stores on gold theme street order custom stuff? are there jewelers? 

And if not, where could I go to get a good price on a nice ring? You know, the kind that looks like Tiffany's but isn't expensive like Tiffany's?

I'm assuming ur talking about the area there around Hyundai Dept. Store. All those places are jewelers and they do take custom orders. Now, regarding prices, selections, etc. I would have no idea because I've never purchased anything down there. If you're looking for something upscale, such as a diamond ring, I'm not sure if that would be the place for you. As those places don't carry diamonds as much. But if you're looking for something simple, see what they got and they can have the size you need ordered for you...

I bought my Wifes ring there.  You need to have a good look around.  Put aside about 4 hours and take a Korean with good English!   If its a solitaire engagement ring you want ask for a "Tiffany Style" ring! (I know you said Tiffany, but, thats what they call it!!)  I found a ring I liked, trouble was it was on the sales girls finger!!!  So I said I want one (didn't have any in stock) - she had it made in a day!!

If you have a pic of the type of ring you want take that - it will help!!

Be prepared to haggle hard and make sure you see the diamond before they set it and get the guarantee's!!!  TRUST your instincts!!

PPS. Make sure when they show you the diamond that the bag hasn't been cut as they come sealed with the grading!! ( you will understand when you see it!)

 Thanks Graham. That sounds perfect. I was a little put off by all the gaudy baubles they had. I think I'll devote a solid day to just walking around and talking to everybody.
