Fukuoka Visa Run

I have just returned after being out of the country for some time and am looking for info with regards to the Fukuoka visa run. There used to be a guide to the whole process on this site of what to do once you arrive at the ferry terminal in Fukuoka, but a search has turned up nothing. If that guide no longer exists, can anyone help with info about where to get on the subway once you are downtown and what stop to get off to reach the Korean Consulate. The last time I did a visa run was 2006, so my memory is sketchy. It will all come back to me once I am there again I'm sure.

Old Fukuoka Guide

It's somewhat out of date and don't know what if anything has changed, but you can find the old Pweb Fukuoka guide at: http://www.pusanweb.com/guides/fukuoka/index.htm

We will be working on rebuilding our guides section this spring, but probably not before your visa run.  If you have any info, maps, or pix to share afterward, please post it here and we can add it to the renovated guide.

Good luck,

Jeff

I want to thank you for the

I want to thank you for the rapid reply. I was down at immigration with a representative from my school today and am awaiting my number with which to depart for Fukuoka. The same number system was in effect the last time I went for a visa run. The person at immigration said it normally takes a week, but said he would do his best when asked if it could be expedited. I expect to be going to Fukuoka this week and will take some photos of the subway stations to post upon my return. Thanks again for the speedy response.
