Day of PIFF Tickets

There are a few PIFF movies I'd like to see but they're sold out.  Does anyone know what time the box offices open the on Saturday and how early I might need to be there to get a chance at the reserved tickets that aren't sold online?  (For CGV Centum City and Hauendae Megabox Theater). Thank you for your help!

Re: Day of PIFF Tickets

You can go to any of the box offices that are listed on the website as ones that sell "Walk-In" tickets; in other words, you don't need to go to the theater that is screening your movie to buy tickets for it. The box offices open at 8:30 AM, but people start lining up much earlier than that. I arrived at the theater in Nampodong this morning at 5:30, and there were already about 15 people there. If the movies you are trying to see are some of the "big names" (i.e. not a Malaysian coming-of-age film about a girl and her ox), then I'd recommend getting there a few hours before tickets start selling.

Re: Day of PIFF Tickets

When I went last year in Nampo I had no problem buying tickets for quality movies 10-20 minutes beforehand. I cannot imagine much has changed.

Re: Day of PIFF Tickets

I'd say you were pretty fortunate. The films that play PIFF--especially the ones that have hype behind them--are notorious for selling out fast, and given that they only keep 20% of the tickets for sale on day-of (which comes out to about 20-30 seats), it's unlikely that you'll normally find tickets 10-20 minutes beforehand.

The exception is if you go during next week. Odds are you'll be able to find plenty of tickets if you're going to a Tuesday morning screening, let's say, but over this weekend, tons of people from out of town will be here primarily to see movies, so expect things to sell out early. That's my advice.
