Boxing Gym

Need a recommendation on a good boxing gym near the Gwanganli area.  I would prefer they have a personal trainers.  All input is appreciated.  Thanks

Re: Boxing Gym

There's one nearby. Jang Jung Goo is a boxing club about a bus stop past the one at McDonalds heading towards Suyeong.  If you are at the beach and you head up on the same street as Starbucks (the new one) and go up a couple of blocks, past Hollywood Star, one block, then hang a right where they are doing some construction.  Just walk down about 100 meters.  There's a bank in that same building (I don't know the name, but I know it's not BS.  I think it's a Woori bank.)  The gym is on the third floor.  It's the only boxing club near there.  There are some K1 gyms around the neighborhood, but a guy that used to be a K1 fighter and now goes to the boxing gym says they're not good.  Also, there is a boxing club across from Starbucks in Kyungsung, but it's not good.  No one works with you if you sign up.  The owner just sits there.  As for Jang Jung Goo, there are some trainers, but you might want to make it clear that you want someone to train you if you are a beginner.  There are three foreigners that go there.  If you ask one of them, they might want to help you out.  There's a guy named Fernando who is pretty good.  He's been boxing since he was a kid and knows quite a bit.  Don't be afraid to ask for help.  Just ask and I'm sure anyone will help.  Good luck.

Re: Boxing Gym

I am also looking for a Boxing Gym, it is tough finding any info online. I'm in Haeundae, but don't mind a metro ride if the gym is good enough. I have experience, I just need a gym to work out in, maybe spar. I will see if I can't find Jang Jung Goo this afternoon.
