A Korean student posted an ad looking for a private English tutor. I gave the student's number to my friend, and she contacted the student. My friend who is not a native English speaker offered the student 40,000KRW for 2 hours, but the student said the rate is too expensive. My friend is a Filipina. She has taught English for 5 years. She is more than qualified to teach English because she has a college diploma and an F6 visa. But I just don't understand why some Koreans are like that? They're willing to pay more than 40,000KRW per hour to a native English speaker, but not willing to pay 40,000KRW for 2 hours to a non-native English speaker. Where is justice? Just expressing my disappointment. Thanks for reading.
Re: 40,000KRW for 2 hours of private English lessons, too ...
She can register with Board of Education and be legal. Pay for medicals and CBC. That is what we do.
