Running routes

Hi, has anyone got any new good running routes to share, I have a few that I put on Map My Run around Haeundae and Ulsan.  I'm looking for routes over 17kms or just nice ones to run.

Cheers.

Re: Running routes

I assume you don't wanna choke down exhaust fumes and/or get run down in a crosswalk in the city. So what my buddies and I do, for cycling anyway, is to take either subway line 1 all the way north to Nopodong (노포동), or line 3 west to Daejeo (대저), just before Gimhae. Then we're basically out of the city and just meander through the rice field roads and smaller country roads.

I also map my rides on Cyclemeter and can easily log 50km without any major traffic hassles. If you get off at Daejeo and go back towards the Nakdong River, you can run forever in either direction along the paths beside the river. The air is much nicer out there, too! And if you go north from Nopodong, you can pretty much hit Ulsan just using the farm roads (and I mean the little cement "roads" with no cars). I can send you some of the routes we've mapped, but as I said, they just sorta meander through farms and villages.

Re: Running routes

Thanks for that, very useful.   I will look at my maps on the areas you suggest as you say its hard unless you get out of the rat race.  Nice one.  cheers.

Re: Running routes

The route up the Su Yeong River and then across to the OnCheon River from Bexco to PNU is really nice on both bike and foot. Apart from a brief transfer between rivers it avoids all roads.

A further extension is to continue past PNU to the end of the river and up towards the reservoir. It's a little difficult to find the first time, but I could probably map it out using naver maps if you were serious about doing it. Right now though I got the dinner being frazzled in the oven!

Re: Running routes

Thanks for that.  I have run the Su yeoung River, I did a 17km last Saturday but not onto the OnCheon river.  Have you run this route-  If so when I cross onto the On Cheon river does the path go straight towards PNU-   I know the path in certain sections sort of brings you up onto the road then you have to jump back down to the path.  One more thing, which side of the river are we talking about, the costco side or the Bexico side.           Thanks again.
