Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

I recommend getting a 40 dollar membership and getting yourself some real good sausages, salami and cheese.People are always asking where to get this and that, get yourself a membership and save some money. The choices aren't always perfect, but its far cheaper than the alternatives.Over a year, you'll get your cash back.Muffins are to die for, literally.

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

The chocolate muffins are fantastic. The other muffins  are really just fillers... and like much Costco food, they take an eerily long time to show visual signs of having gone bad.

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

Also, a Cheesecake at the Costco is so yummy and delicious that I ended up killing it two striaght days.....hummmmmmm........

However, It's been so long that I can't remember it's just a taste like at a Cheesecake Factory in States.

I miss all American food..........

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

I love Costco and go there ritualistically!

However, beware the chocolate muffins. As fantastic as they may be, they can literally kill you in the long run...at 700 calories and 38 grams of fat a piece! Most of the baked goods there are much like back home; extremely rich and decadent.

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

I totally recommend going to Costco, especially if you live close enough. The new pepperjack sliced cheese they have is quite good. Melting it on a sandwich is even better! Yum!

I do want to make one mention about their cookies though. I bought some here in Busan, and I got food poisoning from them. I cleared out my insides over 6 times in one night (both ends) because of them. I am not saying not to shop there, but be careful about the cookies. Eat em, enjoy them, but if you get sick, go see a doctor!

As for meats and cheese, costco is a godsend! I would strongly encourage people to make memberships or pool together with a couple of friends and buy one and shop as a group. Their fresh produce isn't such a great price, but I think it was 7000won for a bag of lemons! Thats a nice price considering my local market is selling them 3000won each!

Anyways, I am just rambling now. If you haven't gone, go. Figure out if the hype is for you, and if you preferred cured meats and cheeses, you won't find a better deal in Korea. I promise!

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

Costco is a true oasis in Korea if you love cheese and meat. A membership is a must for a foriegner, western esp. Cheese are quite tasty. You can buy Kirkland branded (Costco's own brand) cheese 10k for 1kg. A great deal for me. Lots of frozen food, and yes tortilla. 40 large tortilla just 9k. amazing.

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

Speaking of tortillas, Home Plus has some very interesting ones. They are more doughy, which I like, and they are like 10 for less than 4k. I thought they were good. If you can't get to costco, they are definatly better than you might imagine.

Re: Costco Sausages, Cheese and Salami

I love Costco! They are open from 10-10. If you get there a little before opening there is free coffee and awesome pastries and what not! Buses 115 and 54 run there. Amazing samples as usual! Frozen  chicken breasts are 25K for a huge bag
