Improv Comedy

Does anyone have any experience doing improv comedy?  Does anyone know of an improv comedy group in Busan?  Are you interested in learning about improv comedy and having some fun with new people?  I have 15 years experience doing and teaching improv in the states and I am looking for people to start a group here in Busan, with the  possibility of performing somewhere or just practicing and having fun.

If you want to know more about improv check out

merlin-works.com (school that I taught for in Austin, TX)

theknuckleballnow.com  (troupe of mine in Austin)

Re: Improv Comedy

Hi!

I'm from Austin too and I would be really interested in doing some improv again- I haven't really done any since college. I can't guarantee funniness, but I'd love to get together and practice. E-mail me at [email protected] !

Re: Improv Comedy

Seems that the Busan improv groups FB page is a bit outdated.  Is thie Busan club still active?

Re: Improv Comedy

I don't know anything about the Busan group.  Do you know the name of the group?  I haven't heard of anything and I want to start something here new.

Re: Improv Comedy

There is no Busan improv group.  There never has been.  But there IS comedy going on.  There's:

1. Busan Night Live:  They did a sketch show a few months back and are now writing a new one.  They have regular writers meetings open to all, I believe.  I don't know when and where, but it should be easy to find otu.

2. The Ha-Ha Hole:  This is a once-a-month open mike dedicated to standup,  though any kind of comedy is welcome.  I'm the organizer/host.  The next Ha-Ha Hole is Friday, October 1st at Soul Trane in PNU at 10 PM.  Look out for it on the calendar here or over at http://www.busanhaps.com  I welcome any of the people interested in improv to come check it out, even if you don't want to perform.  It's always good to meet other people interested in comedy.  I did improv professionally back in the US for some years, but don't really have the time or inclination to do it over here.  But it would be nice to see some folks put a group together.  I know a lot of performers in town and would be willing to help you get in touch with them.

Good luck.
