I've got a sneaky suspicion that the original post was posted by the owner of the restaurant.  Reads more like an ad than a review.

Still appreciate the ad and am interested in checking it out.  Anyone else been there?

Both of these places are terrible.

Wazwan is one of the biggest rip off restaurants I have ever came across.  Three bits of measly chicken covered in watery sauce for 10,000.  Awful

Had high hopes for Maya.  4 of us ordered 4 different currys.  They all looked suspiciously the same.  Upon tasting found out that they were all exactly the same.

Unfortunately Indian restaurants in Korea are usually terrible.  The only one worth going to is in Gwangju.

maybe... everyone have different tastes.....

So.. even I've never found good taste of Indian restaurant in Korea....

I got it in India ONLY.... for my taste.....

However, I just suggest that Maya is really similar to India.

Some other guys don't agree, OK.. that's their tastes...

Bombay in Nampo and the one in Sasang are decent by int'l standards, and amazing by Korean standards. Chris, Bombay's owner, mentioned a 20% discount for foreigners until sometime in May, last time I checked.

Wazwan is awful last few times I went, and the one in KSU is ok by Korean standards (they have a Saag dish, something the other two are missing. Saag yes!)

Re: New Indian & Nepali Restaurant in PNU-MAYA

I went to the place in Sasang (name slips me) yesterday and hit the buffet and it was terrific.  Everything was fresh and delicious.  They had six main dishes and four of them were vegetarian, for our veggie friends out there.  We got fresh naan and basically ate our asses off.  At 18,000 a head it's not exactly cheap, but that's what just two entrees will AT LEAST run you at any other joint.

I've also been there for lunch during the week and it was great.

The good news is that with all the competition, Indian food is coming up in Busan.  You can finally get a nice, delicious feed without getting ripped off or breaking the bank.

Glad it worked out for you, Tharp--the joint's called "Sang-am" and the only thingit has going against it  is how big it is; you can't figure out how they stay in business.  But their food is the real deal and they're not the least bit stingy.

I often eat there for lunch if I'm making the trip to the nearby Asian food market.
