Having lived here for ever and not being American I'm not sure what 'Missed Connections' is. Some sort of hook up site?

nationality makes no difference when it comes to the 'Missed Connections.'  just go to craigslist for any city worldwide that they offer and click on the 'missed connections' or the 'casual encounters' for a good laugh.  even though it is funny, i bet a lot of connections have been made through that service

yeah, more so for laughs than actual 'hook ups' but hook up's are okay too, or a friendly hook up..why not

For anyone who doesn't know, "missed connections" is a site on craigslist where you can basically post if you see a stranger or have some sort of "missed connection" with a stranger you fancy. If you're (really) lucky, said stranger will have also fancied you and can reply to your post. Think like, "Saw you at Starbucks on 57th St. yesterday. You had mid-length black hair and a red cardigan. I was the strikingly handsome creep learing at your from in a corner. Message me if you would like to have an adult conversation."

What ever happened to good old fashioned work ?lol  On a Saturday or Friday night   one would get a hair cut  put on some nice clothes   and try ones luck at a bar dancing . And trying to get someone  digits . If you ever saw SEA OF LOVE  it was about people meeting via newspaper ads . One had to call a 900 line to get numbers .  Too much technology  kills the excitement .Usually people are creatures of habit.  If you were too shy to talk to the person perhaps it was not met to be . Or just try going to the same place at the same time the place you saw the person for  a few days .    Good chance you may run into them lol
