Fukuoka Visa Run

Hello all,

I'm currently making preparations for a visa run to Fukuoka in August. I plan to fly using Air Busan and have found a weekday flight that arrives into Fukuoka at 1050, I had heard that visa applications are taken until 1200 and wondered if I had enough time to make it from the airport to the consulate in an hour?

Thanks,

Steve

Re: Fukuoka Visa Run

I'm not sure about from the airport, but it took me about forty minutes to an hour to get from the ferry terminal to the visa office on the bus (this included waiting for the bus, transfering, and bus ride).

You should take into acccount, the time it will take you to get out of the airport, find and catch the bus, and then the length of the bus ride (unless, you are taking a taxi, but that is going to be very expensive).  Also, what if something happens, and you go the wrong way or something?

Personally, I would give myself at least two hours to get to the office in case there are any complications.

Re: Fukuoka Visa Run

Yeah by the time you get off the plane and go through immigration it will be much later than 1050.  You are definately cutting it short but maybe with a taxi you can roll in before 12!  Good luck.  Hopefully you are there a few days in case you have to go to immigration the following day :)

Re: Fukuoka Visa Run
