Haircuts in Busan

Hi all:

I'm new to Busan and trying to figure out where to get a decent haircut.   I have been growing my hair out for months trying to avoid the usual nightmare scenario.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: Haircuts in Busan

First of all I will say that I have found the Korean barbers to be very good and not expensive unless you go to some place like the 'Blue Club'.  Now you want to know which one to choose.  Well I will  suggest that you get a Korean friend ior maybe someone from your job take you to a place for this and if the barber does not speak English have your escort interpret for you.  This way you can just go back to the same place later and they will remember you and know what you like.

Thanks Turlbo.  Actually, I'm female, so I wouldn't be using a barber.   And, I have had the exact opposite experience.   I have received some pretty bad haircuts and unpleasant surprises.

The Hair in Namcheon or Hair Casa in Haendae as both of the owners have lived and trained in the UK and Canada respectively and hence speak good English and know western hair.

Check these old posts out for more discussion and details. The Hair moved from when it was first posted about so scroll down for new location.

Re: Haircuts in Busan

That's "Soo Casa", matt!  *^^*

Definitely go to Soo Casa in Jangsan, without hesitation.

My wife is a blonde European, and she gets everything done by "Jee-soo" (spelling?) who has loads of experience as a stylist in Canada.  All of my wife's female co-workers (all expats) go to her as well.

I'm also a regular and have come to trust my hair with her quite a bit.

She is ALWAYS booked up on Fridays and the weekends, so you have to call well in advance to make an appointment.  She is very popular among expat females.  And, of course, she speaks and understands English perfectly well.

Re: Haircuts in Busan

Thank you so, so much you guys.    I have been growing my hair out for months, and I want to make sure the next haircut is worth it, and not a setback for another several months.    I will definitely follow up on the advice here and get a haircut this weekend.    I will let you know how it goes.

Have a great spring weekend.
