I know my friend used the Good Gang An Hospital near Gwangan beach when she had her baby. (Geumnyun San Subway, it has it's own exit).

There is also the hospitals with English speaking division such as Busan National University Hospital, one stop past Nampo Dong Contact details here http://221.161.136.4/coding/eng3/main11.html and Dong Eui Hospital. Check this post out for contact details. http://koreabridge.net/discussion/girl-question

Also you may want to contact the person who wrote this article. I'm in no way suggesting the same, but the piece was extremely well written and informative and she may be able to point you in the right direction. http://koreabridge.net/post/my-abortion-korea-melissasalvatore

Hi Arti,

Where in Busan are you located?

I'm the friend that Matsid was talking about who had a baby at the Good Gangan. I don't recommend it at all. They're policies are quite old-fashioned and the only reason I had my son there is because I liked my OBGYN, who has since left the hospital.

There are a couple of other hospitals in the area I recommend, but I may have other suggestions if you don't live around here. Let me know and I'll write more when I have a bit more time (sorry...toddler beacons!)

Dr.Yon in Samung Jaeil in Jangsan (man, speciality is pregnant woman care and delivery) and Dr.Han in Samsung Jaeil by BEXCO (woman, speciality is fertility).  Both were recommended by friends who visted them and they are the docs my wife and I have been going to for our pregnancy.

Re: english speaking gynecologists in Busan?

hi there. well this is a little late, but i was searching for maternity clothes and saw your post on one of the headers. haeundae paik hospital in jangsan is awesome. they have an international care center, and jane is the girl to talk to. she will ask you if you want a male or female and all that jazz. i am 5 months pregnant and i am with dr. cho, a male doctor. he is great and speaks english. the woman does too. i go in for my stage 2 ultrasound with her next week. jane's number is 051-797-0566. she is very kind and happy to help. oh and i also went there pre-pregnancy for tape worm, a hard fall down some stairs, insomnia, and sinusitis. i was completely satisfied on all accounts (not on the same occassion ;) ). good luck. annie
